LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Downtown Las Vegas is getting its own ‘Welcome’ sign along with a massive LED display showing historical moments of Fremont Street from over the decades.

At its Nov. 20 meeting, the Las Vegas City Council unanimously approved $225,000 of funding from the Centennial Grant program for the construction of a new sign project.

It will be located at the west end of the Fremont Street Experience at Main Street where Slotzilla ends.

The sign will consist of a fixed ‘Welcome to Fabulous Downtown Las Vegas’ along with a 430-square-foot split-flap style LED screen.
